@jeremycherfas I havenāt heard one and when I complain the locals just shrug and say what you going to do? The banks do have a very bad rap round here. That said, I think think it is store decision, will see what I can find out .. because it is bloody annoying.

@jeremycherfas in New Zealand we donāt have to wait for micro payments for the gouge .. here you just need to wave your card to pay at the till .. and the touch less device adds on the vig .. this is not the same as adding a credit card fee .. they add that Seperately
.. no this applies to debit cards as well .. the only way to guarantee to NOT PAY A FEE at time of purchase is to use a debit card and insert it .. and key in your PIN number.
@fractals I think some account name tuning is now needed ā¦ but this bit seems to be working albeit that threads is running 4 or 5 hours behind.
@Miraz exactly .. great analogy .. car development over the years has removed the need to be a mechanic .. so all can enjoy .. meanwhile āpetrol and gear headsā thriveā¦
The web equivalent is to become a mechanic .. or use Zuckās (and otherās) bus that has many entrances and maybe one exit .. hidden in the bowels of the building.
@helge the construction worker in Village People?
I guess I am a lone voice here (not @ing anyone since this is just a general comment into the thread) Topic: Wordpress v WP Engine.
I have read stuff elsewhere and based on what I have read - my only reaction to date has been - 'Go Matt'.
What have I missed that has caused people in this thread to take the 'other' side.
TechCrunch - from 5 years ago when Silver Lake ploughed 1/4 Billion into WP Engine ... (my bold)
This makes WP Engine the biggest WordPress host among the 1 million most-trafficked sites on the Internet, and a significant player in its own right, putting to paid (sic) the belief that a company that is built on a platform ā in WP Engineās case, WordPress ā it does not own is in a precarious state.
It seems that TechCrunch might have called it wrong.
Happy to adjust my thoughts if someone can share any links that explains why I should switch teams.
@KimberlyHirsh Thankyou .. nailed it
@stupendousman ha .. see my comment in this thread
@amerpie so somehow it is picking up user names behind logins?
