@arush the ‘old web’ .. the ‘vinyl of the internet’

@pawel I love arc .. but I have two problems

1) muscle memory and 2 p) arc on an iPad SUCKS .. so I don’t use it .. which makes 1 even more of a problem.

@manton and all in this thread .. i recently flushed all my bookmarks in micro blog back to zero. Just now added this one and will see how / if it develops ..

My inner voice says publish .. on the blog or as @jsonbecker suggested in DayONE ..

If you truly believe something and have a position .. blog.

If you still aren’t sure dayONE.

WHATEVER the repercussions
nobody is coming to beat you up or arrest you .. like the protestors on the campuses. You aren’t going to die .. like people in the region. Your kids will be safe .. unlike Palestinian kids.

We can watch, twiddle our thumbs and say nothing .. much less do anything ..or take a position .. more and more people are taking the second option ..

@odd yeah, I wouldn’t use it with coke .. what was the full context?

@odd @mmetcalfe

Love these kinds of discussions. Ilk I would see as more derogatory than negative .. and there is a difference ,, my mum used to ‘write’ off kids with long hair .. and since I was one of them .. would be bucketed accordingly ..

look at you all, sitting around, playing guitars, you’d think that you and your ilk would find a bit of time to get a haircut.

To be fair to mum .. she wasn’t serious
 she ‘got it’
part of her humour. But ilk is a word I still use.

@odd oh how funny - i guess it is a term that might have limited use - it requiring the male to have married three times - yes - quite a few - I know - but still not a large segment to require its own term.

@braindump funny - waaaay back in my Oracle days - I published a quarterly 'high end' house magazine for business (to differentiate from the corporate magazine that the US parent produced that was ALL tech speak).

It was called SeQueL - and I never knew that history of the name (though coincidentally I watched a video over the weekend that had that piece of info tucked away).

The curious thing is that NOBODY else in the entire corporation pointed it out either.
