1] Every nobody is a somebody to somebody.
2] That is what we have … it’s just spoiled by tech bros, algorithms and loud mouths.
3] People typically have more pride in that which they own versus rent. I think this a core tenant of why ‘global town squares’ are not the future and instead an ever growing network of interconnected micro communities is.
👁️ Must have 7 or 8 shows started and not one has grabbed me. Added one more to the list tonight and just started episode 2 - back to back. Been a while since that happened.

👁️ In a world of EFT and instant gratification it is interesting to see that Amazon can ship atoms from warehouse to door an order of magnitude faster than a bank can add a deposit from another bank.
That said - any bank can take money out of your account at a speed that leaves light in the dust.
So I guess ‘on average’ the banks think they are doing ok.

👁️ Turns out when I wrote - “🖇️ We are back” - we weren’t quite. Just learned another little thing about Micro.Blog that I had never completely absorbed. Thank you @sod - we are now back .. at least functionally - css and layout remains a WIP.
👁️There aren’t that many great Sax players to begin with - to lose two in a week - on a ratio basis it’s kinda like losing 50 great guitarists in the same time period. 🤯
👁️ Sitting in Aotearoa, working at different times (literally) with people in Europe, the USA, the UK, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore it’s become clear to me that just as ‘the sun never set on ‘the empire’ and thus it is ‘always cocktail hour somewhere’ - so too on any given day we’re having a holiday.
👁️ I’ve lost all frames of reference for comparison purposes between the ‘indie’ RSS readers that have come out in the past 6 months.

RSS is definitely not dead.
👁️ And we are back - normal service has been resumed.
Special shout outs to @sod and @AndySylvester who were on the end of email helping me bottom out my problems (I have many) and unknowingly @danielpunkass who I was not in contact with - but is the brains behind Mars Edit - without which some of what Sven and Andy asked of me in problem solving would not have been possible.
And when I say ‘normal’ - that is with respect to the MB feed.

- only two plugins - not 11
- a confused mashup of CSS -
But all fixable. Right?
