Mike Wallace interviewing Ayn Rand.

This interview was in 1959 (the same year Hawaii and Alaska joined the Union).

Whatever you think about Rand and her philosophies, have to say that arguing her position so eloquently on national television at a time when women really were only meant to be seen - and not heard was quite extraordinary.

Even more so when she was clearly threatening the ‘status quo’ and Wallace was not on her side.

Still, both very respectful of each other.

Peter Cook is a corner stone of British Humour. Here he is talking to Clive James and joined half way through by Barry Humphries. Funny. Of course. Never knew that Cook essentially launched Humphries career.
