Another Substack clash.
Literally back to back - these two pieces appeared. The first was from our old friend Dana talking about the AI Boom bust and in turn - a haircut
🔗 When Will The AI Boom Bust? - by Dana F. Blankenhorn

And then right after that, another writer talking about what you’ve taken to human interaction out of all customer interactions you’re pretty much left with nothing.
🔗 The unexpected opportunity with AI agents - designing for customer friction

I think Dana is giving you a real world example from today to support Jamies argument - as he was thinking about the future.
Is Croissant broken OR BlueSky AND Threads?
🎥 Wicked, 2024 - ★★

Against my better judgement .. decided to go see it. I’m sure it’s a fine movie - just not my cup of tea - but so many people I know kept telling me how great it was. Yeah no. At least for this bear.
Don’t hate me. Don’t tell me that missed something. I didn’t.

He (maybe she - but I don’t think so) lost someone and are blaming United and/or healthcare bankrupted them. They will be described as mentally disturbed. The root cause won’t be examined.
Logging this now for a futures check.
Tragic on all fronts for sure. Nothing will change.
The researchers say the findings may provide new evidence for the International Criminal Court, which last year issued arrest warrants for Russian President Vladimir Putin and his commissioner for children, Maria Lvova-Belova, on alleged war crimes for their roles in directing the deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia.
Still won’t happen.
🔗 Well now - that’s an idea - the new product from Arc, though I can’t help thinking that is a video for an audience of one.

I don’t usually post about books I am reading, but want to see how the change that @manton made to Micro Blog works.

It’s not going to change your electric bill much today, but imagine this software running your house.
🔗 Age-gating - Matt Mullenweg … at the OS layer?
Over in identity land I am constantly amazed how the world of tech keep on providing solutions that if they work, will only work with devices and computers.
Nobody ever talks about how this happens in person or on the phone.
🔗 Robot(taxi)s Are Coming! No seriously!
I love Om’s visual.
🔗 Manton Reece on crap Substack RSS feeds.
Personally not surprised. Isn’t their whole schstick newsletters, email subscriptions and followers, so that the writer knows who is interested in what they produce and how many of them they are? Make the RSS feed too good would undermine all of that .. no?
Craft3 is really rather nice …tags coming soon and very cool new functionality .. but would certainly like to view at a global level not just at Spaces level. That said what isn’t being talked about too much is support for own domain and published doc analytics that are suddenly available to you .. used to be only on a higher level .. but all now seems to be smooshed into one.
