An Interview With An AI
There are so many of these things popping up (AIs that is), you need an AI to track the AIs.
Pi is one that caught my eye a while back, and I have had some noodles and doodles with it - when time allows. Clearly 🔗 David had a bit more time than me - because he sat down and interviewed them (?) .. or is it still an ‘it’?
Yes, as David explains at the beginning of the podcast, sometimes the flow is a bit stilted - and through my ears sounded robotic (though I think that is being fixed next week!)
The point is - which is the same point that David concludes with - yes - it is not there - but holy hell in a hand basket … the ‘interview was waaaaaay better than many I start, a darn sight more interesting and really - if you were to drop this in the middle of a bunch of reptiles … talking heads … politicians talking - who do you think is gong to hold the attention best - and I choose that particular category because they are used to being interviewed, to pitching, to telling stories. Some have even been trained ….
BUT
Even with the passionless voice - I found more passion and definitely more reasoning from Pi than a lot of people that puncture my days and nights.
Worried yet?
Have to say that were somebody to back me up against a wall - put a gun to my head and ask me 🖇️ who my top 10 artists - ever - were, XTC would be on that list.
Just lovely and a tremendous trip down memory lane.
I know politicians don’t like to think that they put themselves above their country - but we all know they do. But this is a case of a journalist essentially making the two things equal - and allowing them to get away with the decision … me or the country? Me or the country?
I remember the days when politicians … actually, I don’t.
Same as it ever was - except it is even worse and the media is compliant. Because of course they are.
Call them out I say.

Coincidentally found myself living on/in ‘The Gulf’ when I discovered the show, so watched it with a little bit of a ’travelogue’ perspective. 😁 One of those dark Kiwi shows - they seem to be emulating ’Scandinavian Noir’ - if that is a term. If it isn’t, it should be. Great show.

Started slow. Continued slow. Finished Slow. And I loved it. The Black and White cinematography was superb. More in those grey tones than color could ever do. Have to say I was nervous of having a longer version of the film. No worries. Totally different.

Been bouncing around since then - and I keep coming back to 🔗 Daylite - a Mac only app - BUT seems to be very powerful. Finally took a dip into their 2 week trial - and talking next week - but anybody got any thoughts, comments, thumbs up and down »> other than thePRICE $$$$ - yeah - now I recall why I didn’t commit - but then if it stops me spending time in twiddling with stuff - maybe?
