I can’t help thinking (hoping?) that the announcement of an updated iPod touch and new low end iPads yesterday is actually creating a range of low to high cost, small to large screens, paving the way for that watch idea.
You know … your watch is your ‘go everywhere, always on, always connected, computing device’ that alerts you to stuff, provides essential information, audio feedback and limited screen for viewing … and then you use the slate of glass that suits you … iPod touch at the low end, 12 inch iPad Pro at the top end piggy backing on that cell connection, when a wifi isn’t available.
