‘Real Stories of Real People – Travels Without Charley’
is published on BIZCATALYST 360°.
James, proud of his heritage and who he is.
I couldn’t always track the logic of what he said, but we’re talking people!
What’s logic got to do with it?
Apologies in advance.
I am about to catch up on announcing some of my recent placements at BizCatalyst.
If you are interested, I updated the complete index just yesterday on my blottings site.
It’s a good exercise - but that final tweet says it best.
Can anyone explain why, on reading this, I burst out laughing?
Not Voting Doubles the Value of Someone Else’s Vote
”I don’t care who you want to vote for, I implore you to register and vote. And if you think you are registered, double-check. It really does just take a minute.”
John Gruber.
Create your own visual journal of data
Knowing how many people out there are aficionados of the analogue journal .. couldn’t resist sharing this with you, where my own interest in visual thinking intersects.
”It’s also true that young people are notoriously unreliable voters. A poll this summer showed only 28 percent planned to certainly vote in the midterms.”
(74% of seniors plan to vote)
Which is why [this].
Sharing again because the lackadaisical complacency is staggering.
Today’s The Last Day To Register To Vote In Many Key States

… well, not quite. Interesting article describing how one journalists uses data to get to her stories.
Can you miss something you never use?
I first heard about Indigenous People’s Day this morning … and I thought ‘interesting’.
I just spotted this in my calendar
Apparently it is already a thing.
Note to self - get out more.
Sometimes Decisions Are NOT So Black and White
Do you pay Medium to read their … sorry our … stuff?
Do you get alerts from Medium as to what is available?
Is it always for paid stuff?
Is there ever a promotion of free stuff?
Enquiring minds want to know.
Teething Problems at Starbucks, or ….
Super Dooper new one opens, you know the kind - with the beer, wine and couches. BUT a few teething problems …
Used the phone to redeem my free drink - which they managed to take off and charge me for … I know that because they wanted more money than I had stored … took the manager to resolve that one.
As they gave me the drink, the barista sneezed all over the cup. No ‘sorry’. No ‘excuse me’. No, ‘let me get you a fresh one’. They did after I asked.
Which I returned after I sat down, since it was a Mocha, not a Latte.
Meanwhile - the locals are settling in … looks like a table to me … but it is obviously confused with a foot stool.
Note to self - don’t eat off this table … If I come back.
