@johnjohnston and Claude totally made sense of this and now I understand (I think).
So any WP user could drop this in - like @dave if he chose to - could drop on to his own site - but t(more importantly) the folks at Wordpress could also do this as part of their standard install?
@johnjohnston and just like that I enter a world that I don’t know - I will have a chat with Claude about your functions.php - thank you.
@llbbl i would argue before apple silicon the TCO was still better than on windoze - depends on how much you include - and what you count - but bundled software - time wasted - REAL like for like specs etc
@manton I agree it looks interesting I’ve had a rarely used Flipboard account forever .. this might get me properly engaged .. being a fan of their UI .. but so far despite longevity .. in the waitlist .. maybe priority is going to people that actually use their apps 😉🤷♂️
@MitchWagner it relates …

Thinking more about feeds - and why I am the ‘only reader’ of Daring Fireball in Feedland - at least by one measure.
Just this afternoon I added two more Daring Fireballs to Reeder - so I now have three identical feeds that are not identical - but are of the same blog.
Seems that when we build aggregated feeds such as @dave is doing with Feedland - there should be some kind of roll up - to account for it?
@AndySylvester - still using and loving your Glossary Plugin - 🖇️ like here - literally - 5 minutes ago - flagging it in relation to this short conversation about upgrading Hugo - something I did - and loved the speed and then reversed out of because I didn’t like the breakage. No idea what caused it - might actually by my theme - which given that Pete seems to have moved on will require a significant switch in my future :-(
… and in they continue to flow.
I guess it kinda worked.
@manton that surely holds you back - one plugin that’s been abandoned - and tge whole system gets frozen in time❓
@amerpie Epic. There’s a section in there that I oft’ quote .. though most recently have to add a qualifier that the song was written ‘at a different time’.
‘no file left behind’.
