@bradenslen for them - the business it made total sense - their job is not to think about the good of America - or whatever country the business is based - but how to maximise shareholder value. Short term thinking? Probably. BUT. The market tends to judge a business on its last quarterly report - not its 5 - 10 - 25 year strategy,
And definitely not as short term thinking as outsourcing their call centers - those places where your CUSTOMERS primarily ENGAGE with you - the business - and rather than knowledgable - trained people there to solve your problem you are met with untrained - low cost - entry level people who if they can speak your language properly - not a given - might even have a thick accent that is hard to understand. Oh and said call centers are measured on how many calls you handle - which translates to how fast they can get said customer off the phone - not how many problems they solve,.
@numericcitizen Do you have a summary anywhere as to why .. currently use raindrop … and wasn’t looking to leave .. but I do note that it get used in fits and starts

@bradenslen .. no we aren’t drifting into a war with Venezuela .. it is a specific and calculated course that has been charted .. and the journey has started. Of course there are always squirrels.
BTW this is a reply to your post .. which I read in my rss and from there I find it absolutely impossible to jump into Micro.Blog .. and find the original post to reply to.
If anyone has a fix for that would be appreciated.
