@patrickrhone also important to note that in the UK, despite the Landslide Labour victory, Starmer remains win negative approval and Clacton gave Farage his first ever win (8th attempt) to get into Parliament, and his first comments were that the Tories should join HIS party to āredefine the rightāā¦ history has shown over and over that the right donāt need a majority to control ..
@patrickrhone France is not a done deal .. and if the right is beaten it will because the left worked together .. like hundreds of candidates dropping out in an attempt to consolidate the vote.
Here in the US it is clear that the Democratic establishment wish to extract defeat from the jaws of victory. If just 10% of the party united and got on message (for once), it would help. If the media presented fair and halved coverage, it would help. If we had a judicial system that was working, it would help. If somebody actually pointed out that this isnāt a sport, fashion competition, rock concert ā¦ oh wait, thankyou Bernie, people would try to understand,
Finally .. and this is not the first time I have said it .. The US does not have a great track record in taking lessons from the rest of the world .. because ā¦ well I donāt know really .. but they donāt.
I remain upbeat, but hell fire itās getting hard.
@pratik probably not .. and arguably āmostā people havenāt heard of her .. the nature of our times .. we didnāt used to know who CEOs were, whoās he Speaker of the Houseā was, the producer of an album, ā¦ and she has the added Bennie of the NYT ā¦
I get āmaking a nameā ā¦ but you can do that the other way. (Talking of which one of olbermans points is that all journos want to be Woodward and Bernstein .. and donāt know where to start
@artkavanagh one manās terrorist etc ā¦
Hadnāt even read those words .. I think in the show his nature could go either way depending on the soundtrack they used in the scene.
@pratik who the hell would want to be in the Rolodex of these #$@&Wits
Meanwhile over in the UK ššļø Rory Stewart and Alastair Campbell have a pretty good 30 minute hot take on what the UK election results mean really mean, highlighting some interesting high level 'back of a fag packet' data analysis.
@crossingthethreshold WOW. More please.
But it does seem that I can only write and save a note on the web - not in the app.
Moving on - besides, not sure I need yet another place to keep my notes !
@KyleEssary Nothing will change the narrative.
