@amerpie 4 more overlaps

@jean this needs to be a public resource!
@bbowman i think @tinyroofnail has a looooong way to go before assuming that mantle - Both @SimonWoods and myself are definitely capable of delivering the 'odd book' in our replies. In fact I sometimes it gets so bad that I have to stop and move it to an original post.
It seems that Arc is now running 'properly' on the iPad. 'Inverted commas' because there are two iOS apps - and it is Arc Search that now runs properly - and it seems to do what the other Arch app does - so fixed - but still confused .. why two apps?
... a conversation with @hjalm from 6 years ago - Apple finally heard us - and the changes are coming in iOS18 😂
@ec thanks - the answer is Peacock - so on to the back burner for now.
@amerpie i just checked - I currently have 28 apps from SetApp installed on my Mac and only FOUR overlap with yours - if any proof was needed that the apps they have are incredibly diverse. #HIGHLYRECOMMEND
@uliwitness sadly no - even tried a fresh browser on different devices but they clearly 'know me' - and I am not about to pay 150 per month!
That said - the words they are using in the bots I can see are 'Europe' not 'EU'.

@Miraz yes .. rubbish bin … but that requires 5 million people to be ‘at one’ … I ride the Auckland Waiheke ferry a lot .. and there are two recycling bins and one rubbish bin near the counter where you buy a coffee on the boat.
Ignore the signs and colors of the bins and just look inside the open topped bins and you really cannot tell the difference, cups with and without lids .. in all, paper plates, cans and glass bottles .. pretty good .. plastic water bottles etc you get the point.
The content of those bins eventually end up at the recycling plant, and wondering how that plant sorts out those lids … because no matter how good an individual might be .. the aggregated population is not.
So if not sorted, what happens at recycling center? Machine breaks? Lids aren’t processed? More money spent in additional sorting ? Trying to understand the impact.
Strikes me that if the country agrees that recycling is important, then the pressure needs to be applied at the aggregated level .. not the individual …
@uliwitness not being a paid subscriber for Statista .. I can’t see what they are actually counting .. specifically the EU is not equal to the region we call Europe … is that broken down?
For example, population of EU is about 2/3 of ‘Europe’ … no idea about relative market sizes in the various countries.
Also .. pulling out of EU is different than stopping selling the iPhone (iPad?) there. Would that be possible?
Not saying they should or would .. just looking at apples .. and making sure we compare to apples … pun intended 🥸
