@mitch back in the day when this was part of my living there was a great company called Blurb - absolutely the best at the time - hands down .. I just checked … their site is still up and still about photo books - so that’s good. Re what they are like - what - 15 years later - to that I cannot speak. Nor to their prices - which even then weren’t the cheapest on the block.

In sports it is typically the violent fans that are removed - unlike on our campuses - where apparently it is the fault of the non violent protestors for being there that caused them to get hurt or get arrested.
Seperately headlines everywhere about 2,000 - 2,200 - depending on which COORDINATED headline you read - protestors - primarily students and faculty - have been arrested in the past two weeks - sound a lot - right?
Across America there are somewhere between 230,000 and 310,000 arrests (year dependant) in the same time period Statista - and maybe some 40,000 of them are for drunk driving

@alpower then again - in the UK - we would tend to got to The OED where they seem to have 4 'current' and 4 'obsolete' meanings. We now need a language scholar to tell me why ANY of them are 'that different' to each other - and none of them seem to suggest an insult - nor even derogatory - though I THINK my take on derogatory is in HOW the word is said and the CONTEXT and TONE - not in the 'language written' ...
As you say - makes for an interesting discussion - particularly since it all started with @odd who IMHO has an excellent command of English - and yet recognizes odd mishaps. Wouldn’t it be cool if English as a first language people understood the language as well as someone for whom (I think it's whom - not who) English is at least a second language!
