Just been advised by my hosting provider that I am running malicious code on my home page. I used their scanner to discover the offending file and asked Claude ‘what’s that about ‘. Toold me and now rewriting what we were trying to achieve to begin with. Uploading in a minute - if one cycle fixes it - I will be well impressed.
I am liking where 🔗 this is going - thanks for the post @AndySylvester - big fan of a UI that better fits me.

👁️🏗️💡Running some very large OPML imports into NetNewsWire recently as we are doing some testing - gotta say that the synching improvements that @brentsimmons recently added are definitely making a difference.
One More thing please: Nested folders and/or tags (as @dave uses in Feedland) 💗

The conversation thread on my site has always bothered me … the reason is a little but ‘Alice in Wonderlandy’ - but bear with me.
You have a post - and maybe every blue moon or so someone actually comments.
For the vast majority of my posts - ‘Join The Conversation’ has always felt odd. What conversation? It’s a post floating in the wind. Ain’t nothing happening … until there is a comment. Now that’s a conversation. Ok ok - I take the point - but still - it is a step closer to one. Behold as part of my design update - automatically resolved.

Big moves forward on my blog design yesterday. Still some glitches to resolve - but a whole lot closer to the vision of what I want a post to look like than 24 hours ago.
👁️ Has ‘OTD’ gone away as a plugin? Or was it only ever on GitHub? Either way, cant find it. Different name? Asking for a friend.
Maybe I haven’t implemented Standard.Site properly - but underwhelmed by how my ‘Longform’ posts are rendering on BluSky.
… i.e. the same as they did before I implemented Standard.Site 🤷🏻♂️

No doubt the old one is too overpowering and ‘all logo’ - no message. BUT - not a fan of the new one either.

Unclear if for the long haul - but while I am rebuilding my blog - before I finish rebuilding my site - before I revamp my wiki, I have been adding occasional comments about the ‘trials and tribulations’ of same.

Will retrospectively update over time.
Redefining categories on Micro.Blog as part of my revamp and where I can - extending my rules to automate category allocation.
What I really need now is an automatic ‘un-categorisation’.
Going forward posts marked 🖋️Longform will really be Longform - not just posts with a title - but to go back and manually check all the history? One by One? That is not going to happen.
Thinking blogrolls on Micro.Blog. Could they work in the same way as Inkwell?
i.e. don’t import an OPML - point to an OPML.
I can see a collection of topic driven OPMLs that I can then expose in different places - but to only have one place that I need to update?
Good idea - or am I nuts?
Sign on to Leaflet with Blusky - write and publish a post - follow that feed in NetNewsWire and then share to MicroBlog …

Still an experiment - I mean how many of these things do we need? And it seems to need a lot of clicks to get where I wanted to be .. Jury very much out - but I will try adding it to my sources.
👁️ Turns out when I wrote - “🖇️ We are back” - we weren’t quite. Just learned another little thing about Micro.Blog that I had never completely absorbed. Thank you @sod - we are now back .. at least functionally - css and layout remains a WIP.
👁️ And we are back - normal service has been resumed.
Special shout outs to @sod and @AndySylvester who were on the end of email helping me bottom out my problems (I have many) and unknowingly @danielpunkass who I was not in contact with - but is the brains behind Mars Edit - without which some of what Sven and Andy asked of me in problem solving would not have been possible.
And when I say ‘normal’ - that is with respect to the MB feed.
Life is not so normal on the 🖇️ website which is
- using sumo - not my theme
- only two plugins - not 11
- a confused mashup of CSS -
But all fixable. Right?
