Watched it a while back and just watched it 🎥🔗 Crazy Rich Asians again. Because it was so good? No. Because I was over-ruled by others on this wet Wellington afternoon so in all honesty just kept an eye on it while I got on with tweaking My Wiki. It remains at ★★
★★★★ for 🎥 Mayday that I watched last night. Excellent - as I typically expect when ‘Ryan’ plays ‘Ryan’. This time round we had Sir Kenneth Branagh playing the part of Hugh Jackman.
🎥 Been a while since I have visited the Star Wars Universe - but I watched 🔗 The Mandalorian and Grogu last night … lovely.

🎥 Watched: 🔗 Wildcat - better than expected and fun. It lost the plot in the final 15 to 20 minutes - but don’t they all? Definitely take a watch if you are looking and into the ‘all action’ genre.

🎥 Finished watching: 🔗 Shelter … Jason doing Jason and Bill doing Bill. Meanwhile so many movies I actually want to watch … what am I doing wrong?
🎥 I watched 🔗The Client again. It is over 30 years old - which explains why all the great actors in it look so young. I remember enjoying it at the time. Not so much on the second ‘outing’ - a little bit ‘thin’ IMHO. BUT - still worth ★★★
🎥 Watched 🔗 Death on the Nile over the weekend. Hadn’t I watched it before? Yes of course - but not this one. Another one. I know you know the story - it’s nearly 100 years old so of course you do - just interesting to see the ensemble cast in a murder mystery based on a book written by the inventor of the ensemble cast in a murder mystery - all the way down to the end scene where what ever is left of the cast are stood in a room with the worlds greatest detective reveals the dastardly culprit.
You’ve seen the scene so many times - mainly in films and shows that are NOT Ms. Christie stories. A solid ★★★
🎥 I watched 🔗 Rumble in the Bronx years ago and just watched it again last night.
★★★ - not for the acting - can I give negative stars❓ But absolutely for Jackie Chan’s fight choreography - amazing.
Today marks the 150th anniversary of the Battle of the Little Bighorn in 1876, when Lieutenant Colonel George Armstrong Custer, who led the 7th Cavalry, lost his entire command to Lakota warriors after falling on them unexpectedly in their own territory. The only army survivor of the battle was a horse, Comanche, who became the 7th Cavalry’s mascot, trotted out draped in ceremonial black for years after the event itself.

I watched 🎥 Little Big Man at the time. (In case you are wondering - ★★★★) - but it just occurred to me that at that point the film was about history from 94 years prior.
Today that would be equivalent to watching a movie about an historical event in 1932. Choices would include;
- the lowest point in the Great Depression when unemployment was 25% and millions lost their life savings.
- the election of Roosevelt.
- the beginning of the end of prohibition.
- hoover forcibly 🔗📼 emptying vet camps
They all seem a lot closer to present time than Little Big Man did in 1970.

🎥 I had seen the clips - and ‘yeah - nah. But last night I watched: 🔗 The Ballad of Wallis Island and for me it falls into one of my personal categories: ‘a little english film’ ‘CAVEAT - any film can fall into this category - it’s nothing to do with being ‘English’.

🎥 ABBA: The Movie, 1977 ★★
Abba was never my bag, so why I went to see this in the Odeon (I think) cinema in Streatham, South London - I have no idea. It was fine - until it exploded into the closing credits. All this time later - I still remember the image and the music - a movie all by itself. Only two stars - but try to find the closing credits - sound up - on a big screen - dark room. Still 🤯

I have no idea why it took us until last night to finally get round to watching. But get round to watching we did. I now have even less understanding as to why the delay.
If you still haven’t seen it … rectify the situation ASAP.
