📽️ Show Refs
🔗📽️ Pluribus becomes Apple TV’s most watched show ever.
Me … 🤯
(Though to be honest - still have a few episodes to go - though that in itself is telling )

.. reminding me that I somehow watched the first two episodes ( I think on Prime) .. and never went further, since we are in the Acorn camp - not Britbox. (Should I swap?)
📽️ Not a bad show - but like Bob says;
“The Responder” is dark. There are no characters you can identify with, root for. If you want an uplifting show, “The Responder” is not for you.
One correction to Bob’s review - it is not set in Scotland - it is in Liverpool. But yes … gritty.
🎈154/366 Remember a while back there was this series called Sugar and there was a bit of a debate around - ‘well I did not see that coming’ at the end of Episode 6.
I have been in and out of another show that is absolutely nowhere near as good. Nowhere near. BUT … at the end of Episode 6 there is a 🤯 that I definitely did NOT see coming.
Suddenly viewing the plot through very different eyes.
📽️ Is ‘Episode 6’ the new black?
📽️ I have been watching ‘Sugar’ - and impressed throughout. Great job. Until last night - the final episode - and I was so upset. LIKE - DUH - we all knew that - but what about everything else? It was all so up in the air. VERY disappointed.
Today I go an alert that Episode 7 was coming May 10th
🤦♂️ … of course the bloody thing hadn’t finished - they are doing the one a week drop thing!
Watched first episode of 📽️ The Brothers Sun last night. I am worried - surely it can only get worse at this point?
📽️ Finally steadily working my way through ‘The Morning Show’ .. review forthcoming at some point in the future - but meanwhile - a track that got played on last night’s episode …
🔗 🎵 One Way Glass by Innerspace Orchestra
Gorgeous. So of course I had to look it up …
It started out as a stroll and then before you knew it ….
Meanwhile - if you know the 📽️ TV show ‘My Life Is Murder’ - with Lucy Lawless - this is the little café that is often featured.
The view in the direction that they often show.
The view with a 180 degree shift.
📽️ I’m not saying Charlie Brooker always gets things right … but he does get some of his stuff so very right.
📽️ Beef
Anyone tried it?
Half way through first episode … already not feeling good about it and after the last two EPIC fails I am seeking to preempt a hat trick.
📽️ Better Call Saul
Back when I posted about how great Breaking Bad was … let me paraphrase @pratik … “if you though that was good - wait till you try Better Call Saul”.
Then @GramrgednAngel@zirk.us talked about The Atlantic who …
published a series examining it through a Shakespearean tragedy lens and making the argument that the ultimate main character wasn’t Walter, or Jesse, but Skyler.
I just started series 3 of ‘Saul’. Oh my. Tragedy? I don’t know my Shakespeare as well as I could, but Saul has to be a contender. The character is heartbreaking. The relationship with his brother makes me tear up.
I love the back story of Breaking Bad and the various characters emerging that eventually appeared in Breaking Bad.
Superb series.
📽️ Cunk was so good, that I had to go remind myself of this short piece from Charlie Brooker. It was done years ago, was my first exposure to him and has to be a timeless classic.
📽️ Cunk on Earth - I watched the first ten minutes on Netflix.
Added to the top of the watch list.
‘Peaky Blinders’ Production Company Working With Bushmills On A Themed Whiskey
No discussion of what it actually tastes like!
I watched the first two seasons of Peaky Blinders a while back, Finally got round to Seasons 3 to 5 - not disappointed.
After such a binge - time to switch to something completely different.
Jack Irish!
“I thought you finished watching Peaky came the voice from the kitchen.”
I had - the two shows happened to choose the same Nick Cave song as it’s theme.
🎵 In my mind - not surprising, but Apple is doing a great job with music;
- 1971
- McCartney 3, 2, 1
- Mark Ronson’s ‘Watch The Sound’
All really excellent.
