Had characters from Star Wars ever visited earth - they would surely have failed.
This world cannot agree on electrical voltage, how many prongs a plug should have, the configuration of said prongs, nor the shape of them.
Star Wars on the other hand is so standardized that R2D2 can turn up anywhere - plant his little ‘doodad’ into any socket and charge himself up, open anything, communicate with remote planets, back up, restore … the list is endless.
