Running an experiment … only follow media organizations on Post … follow journalists and other people on Threads.
We will see which proves more valuable.
🔗 Wife of Huw Edwards names him as BBC presenter at centre of allegations.
Officers at Scotland Yard have now concluded there is no evidence to support this allegation leaving the Sun facing questions about its reporting
Sue them. Close them down. It won’t make any difference. This is the same shit show that gave us the douche Piers Morgan and he’s back there spewing his usual crap.
It won’t make a difference because It’s another Murdoch gutter tabloid.
🍿.. only one because despite the expected hoopla and outrage, nothing will happen to the mawho allows this crap to keep on rolling.
Gosh darn … I was so taken by 🔗 this conversation today that it rather unusually derailed my routine. 🖇️ I am now back on track … and also rather unusually (first time?) this morning my extract is from the source material, not Ryan’s summary.

Here’s an idea …
Let’s see now @pratik …
I’ve always found Scott Galloway insightful … for me that’s been changing recently. He’s whining too much and too many outlandish positions … always has done .. but the numbers are definitely up recently … hoping to increase his notoriety and hoping we’ll forget the duds?
Bugger ….

🎵 Listened to a 🎙️podcast featuring Simon Armitage. I did not know he had a band. … LYR. During the podcast there was discussion about why the band is not called ‘Land Yacht Regatta’ - and if not that - why not L.Y.R. ?
He wasn’t really sure - Label decisions he said … but I think I know.
L.Y.R. - not my cup of tea at all - that I jumped over to listen to is definitely a very different band to LYR - a band that is very much my cup of tea.
🎬 It would be around 1,315 days - cant be more exact, because I am not sure of the first date, since I last went to a Theater to watch a movie.
The movie back in late 2019 was Knives Out, yesterday’s was Asteroid City. (I only reviewed 🖇️ Knives Out 2) - 3 stars and flagged as better than 1 if that gives you a clue.
Both coincidentally featured an ‘ensemble cast’. (I don’t make a habit of those kinds of movies.)
But the funny thing is that we saw last night’s movie with the same couple that we saw Knives Out. That is the only time we have been to the movies with those friends and the only time we have been to that particular Theater.
Like pandemic bookends.
🎥 Asteroid City, 2023 - ★★★★

It's hard not to like a Wes Anderson - no exception, but to me, different to his usual films. No point in rehashing what you can read about elsewhere - but let me add one nugget - because I sat right through to the end - through the title and everything ... that last song mesmerizing. But why?
Well of course - the titles revealed or ... one of two songs that were a collaboration of two old friends and at times band mates - Jarvis Cocker and Richard Hawley.
The song?
“You Can’t Wake Up If You Don’t Fall Asleep.”
… turns out I was late to the party … my first ‘purchases’ didn’t happen until January 9th the following year.
Get in line

The store is cavernous … letters A to H or so - rows 1 to 40 or so … you need a single item, you stop a passing staff member and ask ‘where do I find’ … ?
There’s a pause, a thought, no attempt to pull out the hand held device … ‘that would be ‘F12 … left hand side from here.
🤯🤯🤯
This is not a singular experience …
🎬 There’s a movie out there just released called the 🔗 Sound of Freedom
Good reviews on IMDB … serious subject … but it seems to this observer that it is being artificially promoted. I’ve also had some back chatter that all is not what it seems.
Any thoughts from those that read this post?
Sometimes life gets a bit confusing.
As president of the Screen Actors Guild in the 1940s and ’50s he led the union through three strikes and negotiated health and pension benefits and residual payments for members.
and then
In 1981, he fired striking air traffic controllers, banned them from government jobs for life and decertified their union.
Back in 2017 he was inducted into the Labor Hall of Honor
