I read somewhere …
Consider your childhood. What words do you remember being spoken to you at school? How many of those that stay with you are painful in some way?
Different versions of this same idea appear in my feeds from time to time. My internal response is always the same.
- I don’t recall much of my childhood at all.
- Let alone words spoken to me.
- Let alone words that were painful to me.
Is that because I suppressed it all because it was bad, or not impressive enough to remember, or has the rest of my life simply over written my young life?
No idea. Don’t really care.
The memories I have are good.
How about you?
