”As an American, I should be VERY insulted by this… if it weren’t true.”
one of the comments on
He’s Irish - I take no responsibility.
When should you rotate your phone to landscape to make a video?
Stumbled across this … and though his words flowed - never once did he wave a cane @bradenslen - surprising really. Would have been very appropriate.
Ian Grigg On Identity
I think that is the opportunity and in five years time we'll know whether we got the mega-corporations holding my identity or whether we managed to take it back.
Ian Grigg - October 2015.
The five years are just about up and I think if the 'megacorps' have not won - they are about to. Is it too late?
Three years ago he wrote: Identity is an edge protocol, and not a nodal protocol. (pdf)
Fuck You. Pay Me.
Imagine, turning around to a lawyer, an accountant, a doctor and telling them that they weren't going to be paid.
Dear Lawyer

i.e. if you have left school, sorry - we taught you all wrong as to how to succeed in the life in front of you.
What he should have said was
I came to understand, that there's a set of core competencies every person must master.
I know he doesn't mean it and I guess it is about education - but the implication is that you have left school then 'we taught you all wrong'.
Keeping that in mind ... well worth a watch.
🎵 Heard part of this on the final episode of Nick Mason’s Sound and Technology podcast.
This is a more complete 6 minutes of the David Bowie interview.
The disbelief and facial expressions of Paxman are priceless.
🎵 Is it just me that has Boris The Spider running through his head on constant repeat?

Nobody told The Vogues to retire.[/caption]
Up every morning just to keep a job,
I gotta fight my way through the hustling mob,
Sounds of the city pounding in my brain,
While another day goes down the drain (Yeah, yeah, yeah).
but it’s a five o’clock world when the whistle blows,
No-one owns a piece of my time,
And there’s a five o’clock me inside my clothes,
Thinking that the world looks fine, yeah,
