When we got in - the line behind still had 4 to 5 tables worth of people in line.
Inside the restaurant - enough empty tables to seat all the people.
They offered all day breakfast - which I decided to go for - IF the soup of the day in the sourdough bowl was anything EXCEPT ClamChowder.
Clam Chowder was the soup of the day - BUT they had run out of sourdough bowls Cornbread?

4 overcooked patties that had been shown some cheese at some point and the kitchen clearly lacks knives because all 4 bread rolls on the sliders were still attached to each other - you know - like they come straight our of the plastic bag?

It’s a little bit odd, because back in The People First Days, I am sure the links went back to People First .. will take a closer look,.
About that word ‘top notch’.
As a Brit I associate it with ‘times past’. (The 19th century specifically). I used to (maybe a couple of decade ago) associate the phrase as spam - a way for snake oil salesmen and spammers to attempt to elevate itself above its actual class of ‘worthless shit’.
I looked it up …
The phrase “top-notch” can indeed be associated with spam emails. It is listed among various words and phrases that spam filters commonly flag as potential indicators of unsolicited or promotional content
Recently, I felt that it had disappeared, at least from my world … until 2024 - where it seems to have found new life - with people who I know are not spammers.
The resurgence is interesting, because I still can’t disassociate the phrase from the action of ‘avoid at all costs’.
