The irony of surrendering yourself .. and then posting ‘NEVER SURRENDER’.
In just one week - another domain in my life is not renewed and the work there archived … not to the 🔗 BIG archive … no … 🔗 right here
🔗 The Real Republican Debate Winner Was Clear, in One Sense (Apple News)
Prior to the debate, his name recognition was so low among voters that he offered $20 gift cards to anyone who donated a dollar to his campaign to meet the threshold of 40,000 individual donors needed to earn him a spot in the debate.

Why is this allowed? Isn’t this the exact consolidation of power in a market that the FCC is meant to be watching?
If you were in need of a new source for good quotes … well, I just stumbled over 🔗 this.
🎵An 80 year old is demonstrating more creativity and musical brilliance in rehashing a 50 year old classic than pretty much any ‘young gun’ on the music scene is managing without such creative constraints.

I just got bored reading the intro to the summary of a short article about tonight’s screaming match … where the last one standing hopes to make the grade to be the running mate to an Orange clown who has 91 … and counting … indictments. #LifeIsTooShort

This is a People First post that was originally on the People First domain. It has been moved here as part of my domain consolidation program. It’s a steady and slow WIP as I check each entry, so do please bear with me.- More about People First

But this wasn’t a meeting to make a deal. This was a meeting to get us to cave, which is why, not 20 minutes after we left the meeting, the AMPTP released its summary of their proposals.

🖇️ https://john.philpin.com/2023/06/24/robert-f-kennedy.html - where I have used my usual tag ‘attribution’

- p.cite and
- blockquote.cite (I know - I know)

Dud duh duh duh duh duh duh duh .. DEE DEE
and
Blah blah blah blah blah BLEE BLEE
.. it’s been around for a while - but more as an exception … but clearly someone has set up a school somewhere that teaches people to talk in their low, ponderous tone for 90% of the time - and then at the end of each sentence, go up an octave or two to emphasize - and to really drill it home - make it ‘sing songy’.
Sadly if I unsubscribed to podcasts that include such behavior - I would have nothing left to listen to.
🔗 Simon Cowell sells London home for £30m below asking price.
He was asking 45 million - he took 15 million. Now that’s a discount!
