The county of Maui hosts a number of tech m/billionaires with ownership of land counted in tens of thousands of acres. Hell, one of them owns 96% of the island just across the strait from Lahaina.
I do hope they find their way to seriously helping the island get through this and then really recover … and not just go live in one of their other houses while things ‘settle down’ — whilst offering ‘thoughts and prayers’.

Much as I like the quote, as far as I can tell, there is not a single attributable source.
I definitely do not live on the edge - in any shape nor form. But, I do try to ‘live small’ and not take up too much space.
Recently been thinking that despite best efforts, it seems I am still taking up too much.
Or is my thinking muddied by others living too large and encroaching on my little corner?
