I wonder what the prank was … it doesn’t say, but watching some of the antics of these youtubers … I am not surprised that this happened. They’ve taken Candid Camera to stupid levels with zero thought for others - all in the name of ‘being a name’. Maybe some of them will think twice going forward?x

… she will be missed - and with time … it will become increasingly apparent how good she was.

After yesterday’s continual app rebuilds - the last one is still going … 14 hours later … and the (50+) categories are barely registering. I hope I didn’t break MicroBlog!
I have used Raindrop for a while. I like it - though, it isn’t a main app for me.
Apparently it just had a massive upgrade and quite a few people are commenting on how great the new app is.
Me? I cant tell the difference. It’s been rewritten from ‘the bottom up’, but to me it seems to be just the same.
What am I missing?
🔗 Staten Island, Forgotten Borough .. I wonder how many NYC visitors think they have ‘been to New York’, when in fact they have likely only ‘been to Manhattan’ (riding in from JFK or La Guardia or even Newark aside). That said it is easy to forget the island, even if you do think of Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx - the island would be the last - if at all - on most lists. (Full disclosure - for all the times I have been to NYC, ‘the island’ remains the only Borough I have never been to.)
That all said, it does seem an interesting - if not ‘complicated’ - place with multiple contradictions. Great read.

TL;DR : No - and I agree.
But - in there are some great links from @adders that are there regardless of Substack’s survival that allow you to seamlessly move off Substack and on to Ghost, Buttondown or Beehiiv. Nice.
Dear journalists … I think we are all aware that this is the first … former president … criminal charges … yadda yadda … we’ve got it … we really have … so no need to keep repeating it … news should at least be ‘new’ … no?
