@JoshNicholas judging by what @odd shared .. Oz is same as New Zealand and I do find that the angles help .. because if you are like us there are two pronged plugs that can be used, but that angle helps.

Also adapters, they but a real weight and challenge on any .. so I tend to use a cable to connect the socket to where the adaption is occurring. Too late now .. and definitely not a compact solution .. the other is plain in computer daisy chain out form USBC.
