Talking of 🖇️ Bookstores I just disappeared down a rabbit hole. One of those book stores was in Lyme Regis - a place I frequented a lot - until just before ’90- - and never been back - essentially because I didn’t live in the UK any more - and when I do go back - there’s never time to revisit such old haunts.

I just tried to find the store - and although there are a few such stores in the town - none are anywhere near where I remember my store was - but it definitely existed - because most of my pretty complete Fowles collection are signed copies - and all those books came from that store.

Life moves on. But in my rabbit hole wanderings stumbled across this - April 24 1966 - Fowles not explaining the meaning of The Magus. (Found 🔗 here)
