A broker of private technology stocks recently called off a proposed deal to purchase shares of Uber and package them in an investment fund. The broker, Sharespost, cited a “lack of investor interest†in the shares, which a Bloomberg article attributed partly to terms requiring shareholders to keep their stake until Uber was acquired or went public, with no visibility into the company’s operations or finances.
