Here on MicroBlog if I have two categories say ‘XX’ and ‘X-X’ .. and go into the admin and simply change the ‘X-X’ category to ‘XX’ - do

• I blow up my blog
• does it fail
• does it happily just merge the two categories?

I’d try it - BUT - option 1 worries me!
