Seperately, I am English and have lived in the US a lot .. and have never been tempted to do the citizen thing. That doesn’t stop me writing commenting and signing up to campaign on the ground for politicians that are fighting for what I believe is right. People ask me why? If I can’t vote .. why bother?
Answer.. if I can convince just one person to vote for ‘my politician,’ then I am using their vote as my surrogate. A second .. and more .. icing on the cake. The same goes for writing, cartooning, talking in bars .. play to your strength .. the margins are so close these days that the shift is getting easier every day to make the win happen.
