🔗 The 2026 Global Cost of Living Index

In New Zealand we hear a lot about how expensive things are. According to this index … ‘not so fast’ - because the New Zealand rating is less than half of New York - ground zero for this exercise.

Then again the average wage in NYC is twice the average Kiwi wage - so it all balances out.

But surely, its not income we should be thinking - it’s disposable income.

Once again - maybe we are measuring the wrong things really well ❓
