📺 I watched the first 1 1/2 episodes of 🔗 Cold Call a long while back and forgot all about it. This weekend as I was poking around - redesicovered and finished it. (The whole thing is only 4 episodes - so an easy piece of homework) - and my goodness - maybe they spent a little bit too much time setting it all up - but somewhere in the middle - it just turns … you might know the lead - Sally Lindsay from 🖇️The Madame Blanc Mysteries that she created, co wrote and stars in. Nice gentle little show with a 🖇️🎵 great theme song.
Cold Call is nothing like that.

📺🔗 Dublin Murders over on Acorn is a few years old now (2019) but really rather good. Going to give it ★★★ - but - no spoilers now - that last episode might be require me to come back and knock it up to 4.

I too restarted a couple of times - and have plodded along whenever i think - ‘well it cant get much worse’. And then it does. Which is why

📺 Watched 🔗 Boomers Season 1 and Boomers Season 2 - over a very protracted period of time - it has to be said.
★★ - though my gut says one - BUT - I did ‘watch’ them all because there were ‘bits’, so it was clearly not a write off …BUT
Caveats … if you are English and ‘of a certain age’ - it might connect. And if you are ‘of a certain age’ - you might remember Russ Abbott? Yeah .. he’s one of the main characters, that’s why it might not.

📺 Watched 🔗 Missing You - another forgotten series. That said it is a ‘Harlan’ story and as I have noted before there are some great Harlan’s - just not all of them. I think the other challenge is that they all start to blend in to each other.

📺 Finished watching the 🔗 Second Season of The Four Seasons, having already checked off Season 1 a while back.
★★ is the best I can do. Nice premise, plenty of Vivaldi - but didn’t keep me coming back and sometimes forgot it for months on end. I never saw the Alan Alda movie - but nice touch to see him pop up in the show from time to time … 89 at the time!

.. but clearly I live in a minority … 📽️ Series Two has just been greenlit.
📺 Finished 🔗 Criminal Record Season 2 last night as the final episode dropped.
It is another repeat formula. Started strong - meandered with a good ending.
Overall better than Season 1 … I think we are in ★★★ land.
📺 Finished watching 🔗 Lawmen: Bass Reeves last night.
I like a great Western - but this was only good.
It was made more interesting by the fact it was based on a true story.

📺 Finished 🔗 Your Friends & Neighbors Season 2 last night .. and every bit as good as Season 1. Everything all nearly wrapped up .. with lots of new hanging chads for Series 3 to pickup on. Great job. Well worth ★★★★
📺 Finally got a show I could watch from beginning to end - not the best - but compared to some others I have been trying out, 🔗 The Beast in Me is worth ★★★

It’s quirky and different. Wont be everyone’s cup of tea - but definitely worth a try out. I loved it.
📺 Just finished Legends .. based on a true story it says - and seemingly not wrong according to 🔗The Radio Times Not half bad - with ‘Alan Partridge’ playing the boss - straight down the middle. That said - a lot of the full story definitely not in the show. Future series?

📺 Finished Imperfect Women last night. Really rather good. Seem to be more and more of these ‘secrets wrapped up in Russian Dolls’ stories. They aren’t always great.

I will need to return to finish - but in a nutshell - well worth a watch, but make sure you go through the first three before you start - it will add to your enjoyment.
