"iFiesta Fatal! (Album Edit)" by B-Tribe
I was on a work trip in Finland. My hosts decided to expose me to some Helsinki night life. I can still picture it all - but sadly no pictures to share. At one point we were in a bar/restaurant/nightclub - which it was dependant on the time of day - and this music like no other swept through the whole place and I just disappeared into it.
This was the track. Got back to the UK - bought the album - and it turns also out their second - clearly wasn't in the vanguard on this one. I also bought 3, 4 and 5 as they came out - they never failied to suck me in.
There is a sixth - do not own it - but of course in my online library - though a little different to its predecessors.
And all of this came to mind yesterday as I was wrestling with 🖇️ my blog issues - to pick one random post that didnt arrive until today.
BUT - iFiesta Fatal! kept me sane.

👁️ And we are back - normal service has been resumed.
Special shout outs to @sod and @AndySylvester who were on the end of email helping me bottom out my problems (I have many) and unknowingly @danielpunkass who I was not in contact with - but is the brains behind Mars Edit - without which some of what Sven and Andy asked of me in problem solving would not have been possible.
And when I say ’normal’ - that is with respect to the MB feed.
Life is not so normal on the 🖇️ website which is
- using sumo - not my theme
- only two plugins - not 11
- a confused mashup of CSS -
But all fixable. Right?
Good to be home.

"Oh Well (Live)" by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
Talking of superb covers … as I wrote 🖇️ here not even a month ago - a glorious cover of track by Fleetwood Mac. Before John and Stevie. Even before Christine.
Bonus Round ...
🔗🍎🎵 PartONE that Tom covered.
🔗🍎🎵 PartTWO that Tom did not cover - totally different and Peter Green's favourite part.
both performed by Fleetwood Mac.

Forgive or not to forgive. That is the question.
Rabbiting on about ‘forgiveness’. When is it time? Should we?
The protocols belong to no one. They can’t be acquired. They can’t be taken public.
💬 Terry Godier
Reminds me of an old adage of mine - that these days sits in my 🖇️ Johnsim Library.
🏢 Moss just wrote: 🔗 The biggest leadership oversight in modern organisations
in many organisations, the “people piece” has been relegated to the HR function.
💬 Moss Burmester
‘relegated’ - not ‘delegated’ is an interesting choice of words and highlights a more general problem - more on that in the comments.
HR systems are built around compliance, process, and record-keeping.
….
Why does engagement matter? Because performance is produced when people are deeply engaged and aligned in the business strategy
💬 Moss Burmester
Sounds to me they should be building ‘Systems of Engagement’
There’s those 🖇️ Pace Layers creeping in again - and I definitely like using ‘category’ as a distinguishing mark. Years ago I wrote piece that asked if 🖇️ New Zealand had ‘Crossed The Chasm’
🔗 The war between fast and legitimate is here
If you’re running a startup, you’re in the speed game, and pretending you’re running a regulatory agency is a category error. If you’re running a regulatory agency, you’re in the legitimacy game, and it’s something of a vapid conceit to pretend to be running a startup. Most of the dysfunction in contemporary institutions comes from this same category confusion

🖇️ This has been getting silly for years - it would be so much more interesting if rather than an increasingly difficult image to read it was a dynamic data base that is actually useful.
