Another ‘life truth’.
It gets even worse when the sport is only played in one country and the metaphor attempts to cross the ocean … and yet - even I am on occasions - guilty.
I am looking at you ‘🖇️ playbook’.
I allow it because the original meaning of the term is even older than the USA - let alone ‘American Football’ - and yes I made that discovery was made years after I started using the term - but I’ll still take it 😉.
